Felicity and Brett mckenzie reception at mountain mermaid
Crash entertainment helped entertain the guests, family and friends at Mermaid topanga, CA. This wasn't going to be your typical reception. The bride and groom had their mind set on an Alternative (musically speaking) event.
100 guests started the HOT day (90 degrees) with a quick lovely ceremony. One thing that stands out was the young flower girl slowly dropping one petal at a time. Musical selection included M83 and Cat Powers. Cocktails hour music included: Strokes, xx, Phoenix and Radiohead, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Band of Horses, white stripes and Death Cab for Cutie.
Grand Entrance consisted of the Bride and Groom gliding into New Order - Ceremony. Jumped into quick speeches and a fantastic buffet.
First dances included Cat Power - the Greatest, Cat Stevens - Moonshadows (Father daughter dance) and Rainbow Connection (mother son). Dancing started off with Foster for the people - Pumped up Kicks, Miike Snow - Animal and Goyte - Somebody I used to know. Then I took control and played classic rock as well as current alternative. Fratellis, Jet, Franz Ferdinand, Beastie Boys, Boyz to men and Bel Biv Devoe, Notorious BIG and 2pac (classic hip hop).
Mountain Mermaid was a gracious host.
